Kerry was 14. She was flicking through her favourite teen magazine. One of the features on the problem page was a celebrity giving advice. This week it was her idol Jimmy B. She grinned and leaned closer to the page when she saw him. She felt a pang of jealousy as she read the problem that had been sent to him. It was the usual type of problem. One of the ones that teenage girls sent in just to get them printed. It said that this particular girl was having trouble dating men.The writercould never mind any good men. They all turned out to be cheaters or in to drugs or something. Kerry snorted with disgust - Jimmy B wouldn't care about that. He was as clean as anything, and he still managed to be the coolest band member there ever was. She scanned down the page to see her idols reply. "Don't worry Crazygrl3" he wrote "There are lots of nice guys out there. There are lots of men that are sweet and kind and clean and that would never cheat on you!" Kerry sighed - he knew just what to say. She sat there gazing at his picture for a few moments, and then came up with a plan. She should write a letter into the magazine about problems dating men too! Then she would get it read by him! A few seconds after making this plan, she realised its flaws. He wouldn't read it. He wouldn't be on the page again. Everyone's only on there once. Kerry sighed and felt deflated. She was going to see Jimmy B's band live in a week anyway- maybe she would get to talk to him there. A week passed, and Kerry found herself in among a large crowd of screaming teenage girls, all proclaiming their love for Jimmy B and his band mates. When the gig was over, Kerry walked back to the tube station on her own. She was just wondering if she was lost or not when she felt a hand on her shoulder. "Hello" said the owner of the hand. Kerry gasped - it was Jimmy B! "I saw you at my gig" he said "do you want to come with me?" Kerry agreed straight away, and followed him to his tour bus. She started to feel uneasy as they climbed aboard, as there were alot of drunk men around. She kept close to Jimmy. When they were on the bus, she wondered if she had won a competition of something. She felt like she had when Jimmy sat down and pulled her onto his lap. He put his arms around her and gave her a cuddle. Then he started to grope under her top. "Stop that!" Kerry shrieked, struggling to get out of his grip. He just laughed. "You're just like those people the girl who had problems dating men was talking about!" she accused him. He looked blank. "What?" he said "You're the one that was jumping up and down all evening saying that you loved me and wanted my babies!" Kerry looked embarrassed and fell silent. To her surprise, he let her go. She stood up uncertainly. "Ive taught you a lesson today" he told her "If you go around in mini skirts telling guys you love them - they're going to do something nasty to you. Dating men is a serious business that needs alot of thought. There are too many teenage girls throwing themselves at guys that they've never met before - just because they're cute. I don't want my fans to be like that. Sorry if i scared you, but I had to make you see." With that, he apologised again and presented her with some signed merchandise and guided her out of the tour bus.
