Tell me a Story

She was looking at her reflection in the mirror inside her bedroom. She smiled. She was observing her body in the mirror. She was satisfied with her figure. She remembered how she always hated to look at her bulging tummy. That was one of the reasons she was not into the dating game. She would always wear those lose fitting blouses just to cover up the ugly sight of her tummy before she achieved the healthy figure she has always dreamed of.

She recalled when she was in high school, most of her classmates were slim and thin, but she was the tallest and bigger size amongst them all. She has no self-confidence and each time a boy asked her to go out for dating, she rejected. She was too cautious with the size of her body. Luckily, her friends never mocked her instead they loved to be friends with her. She was normal like other kids except that she seldom went out and socializes with them. She was too shy with her own body.

When she finished high school, she went to college until finally she was ready to step into the adults world. During her college years, she did go out for dating with only one guy, Ari, and they split as soon as they graduated. They loved each other, but both of them were agreeable that they were still young and have their own dreams to pursue. Ari was a very smart and nice guy, and accepted her in every way. They still contacted each other as friends. He was the one who always gave her the words of courage and confidence. He always said to her if she was not satisfied with something, she ought to do something about it.

When she was thinking about how right he was, she started to exercise and eat healthily. Soon she was used to her routine and lifestyle that has helped her in building her self-confidence. When she looked at herself in the mirror, she was quivering with excitement. Ari was asking her if she was dating anybody. He said he was missing her and wanted to meet her again. So, she complied and it would be their first date together after five years they did not see each other in person.

She wore the perfect dress in ivory and walked confidently. She gasped when she saw Ari. He was looking very handsome and dashing, but she didn't notice that Ari was also stunned to see how gorgeous she was. So, they embraced each other. She felt so good to be in his arms again. They talked and laughed like old times. When the music was suddenly became so romantic, he couldn't resist asking her for a dance. They danced the night away and she felt herself trembling when he kissed her. It was very soft and familiar. She suddenly felt that in his arms was where she belonged.
