Tell me a Story

With summer weather all around, it's time for swinging and dancing. Everybody, young and old, are getting in the mood of enjoying the summer as best they can. Nobody wants to miss this opportunity, after having passed through all kinds of "stay indoors" type of weather conditions. I am all all for it, and so are my friends.

Swinging time ! A friend of ours lives in a beautiful area just a few minutes from the downtown core, easy to get to. He is going to host a dance party over the weekend, so everyone will be free and will have the time to enjoy. Saturday night is the suggestion. Very exciting indeed. This is an excellent opportunity to meet old friends, and make new friends too.

Danny, the host is a very friendly and joyful person. Everybody likes him, and he likes to make everybody feel happy too. His girlfriend is a very adorable person too. The two of them and others who are good at playing different musical instruments, guitar, saxophone, harp, drums, well be on the stage to get everybody excited to do the swinging all night long.

I have not been to parties like that for a long long time. I am not sure how I can participate in the program. I would of course enjoy watching everybody swinging and hugging. That would certainly be very exciting.

If the swingers would like me to, I would get up on to the stage and sing some of those oldies. Not that I am a perfect singer. just to participate in the party doing some thing that I would enjoy. If others would like to join me singing the oldies, I would certainly welcome them.

Danny is going to arrange a gorgeous buffet dinner for the occasion. An international cuisine with many delicious dishes, western, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, Indian, and more. There will be wines from different countries for all wine drinkers to enjoy. That would definitely make the party more lively and happy. We will all try to help Danny in the ways we can to make the party a lovely one.

I am sure it will be a lovely party, especially since it is going to be an opportunity to meet old friends who haven't seen each other for a long long time. It will be like a re-union of old class-mates. And, that's one of the reasons to have this party at a time when everybody can come and enjoy.
