Tell me a Story

What is the definition of a brief encounter? For some reason, I was daydreaming while sitting down waiting for my Mother to get done shopping in a little strip mall in our town, and this word entered my mind. Sometimes I feel so strange when I am in this mall, that I wonder if it is haunted. Well I need to get that idea out of my head or else I will start talking my ideas to my Mother. I know the last time I was in here with her I was told to sit down and don't bother people. I was dreaming I was asking questions and taking surveys about the meaning of a brief encounter.

As I was sitting there at the table waiting for my Mother, and still daydreaming, I noticed some polka dancers getting lined up in the middle of the mall. I used to call them swingers cause that is what they do. Swing your hips to the left, swing your hips to the right. I loved watching them. Most of the them look like husband and wife, or they could have been just good friends. You could tell sometimes when they were husband and wife, cause they would sneak a kiss to each other.

Well now, let's get back to this brief encounter definition. To me it would mean to come in contact with something for a brief period of time. Like maybe I would get up and try my luck at doing the polka once. That would be a brief encounter for me.

All of a something, I woke up from my dream and I could feel something touch me. I jumped about 10 feet high and realized it was my mother touching my arm. Sorry to say, but when I felt her touch my arm, I thought for sure my husband was going to feel me up for something. Oh well, I was just day dreaming again. I was told it was good to day dream, but just don't do it at school. The teacher might think you are sleeping or trying to take a nap. I have been known to do that once in awhile.
