Tell me a Story

Last Saturday night my husband and I tuned into watch a BBCAmericadocumentary about a couple who find passion and romance in their swinging lifestyle. They claimed that swinging was one of the most passionate and life altering things they had ever decided to do. I don't really remember their names but they were British and said that as a couple who have been married for twenty seven years they found it a fun way to keep things in their relationship fresh.

When asked how and why they had decided to do this, the couple merely said that they were living in a sex-less and emotionally unstable relationship. Swinging seemed like the only way the couples relationship could survive. Currently the couple is dating another couple that they had met during a mutual meetingat a swingers club.The couples all agree that sex between couples is more passionate. Why swinging? The husband wanted sex outside the marriage and the wife wanted her husband to be happy and to stay married. They say that the passion in their relationship has been renewed.

The couple meet their swinging partners with whom they are exclusive at a local hotel that offers discretion to all their clients. They normally start their dates with dinner and conversation followed by passionate nights in the bedroom. "It's just like any other normal date between two people" the wife says. "We find our own ways to bring passion and love in our relationship, other people don't agree with it because it is simply not their way". The husband says "we are sick of being judged, just because our methods are a bit unconventional". "Unconventional" seems like a bit of an understatement, not that there is anything wrong with swinging. I mean to each their own, as long as all participants are willing I do not see a problem.

The wife was later asked how she felt about her husband making love to another woman, she said "I am making love to the "other" woman's husband, we are no different". "I only want to be happy and for him (my husband) to be happy".
