Tell me a Story

My girlfriend got a hold of me the other day and told me that she had a Blind date set up with this guy that she had started talking to recently on one of these online dating sites, I couldn't believe it when she said that she had only been talking to him for a few days, you stupid cow I thought to myself you know nothing about him yet your already going to meet him.

I tried to tell my girlfriend what I thought but his guy clearly had a Hold of her she was smitten already and she hadn't even met him but her blind date was the next night so she would do soon, I told her she must take her phone with her and keep it on her at all time and if she feels that while she is on this stupid blind date that at any time she is uncomfortable then she needs to phone me and get a hold of me or someone to come and get her.

My girlfriend promised she would and I wished her the best luck and told her that I thought she was going to need it.

From 7pm that evening I was on tender hooks I couldn't relax at all I was so worried about my friend and knew that if anything happened to her I would never forgive myself, in the end I had to text her I couldn't concentrate on anything my other friend called me up and I told her what was going on and she said text her to check she was ok.

So I did but I didn't get a reply by 10pm I was frantic with worry surely she would of called me if something was wrong but then again what if she couldn't, maybe he had taken her phone off her and well the rest wasn't bearable to think about, that was it I had waited long enough, I phoned my friend back and told her I was going to call her and if she didn't answer her phone then I was getting in my car and going to the place I knew she was meeting him.

Just then my phone beeped and it was a text from my friend telling me she was fine and having a great night and I was in for a shock.... the guy she had met was actually her ex boyfriend and after a long chat of why they had split up and what had gone wrong they decided to give it another try. Whew I thought to myself but never again I told her.
